WOMEN’S LANGUAGE.
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes . Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This isnt actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ … that will bring on a ‘whatever’).
(8) Whatever: Is a women’s way of saying FUCK YOU!
(9) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to 3.

Dramatic lemur
The Selby
I'm sitting in a cushy rocking chair with a blanket wrapped around me because of the freezing cold weather in San Francisco. Though San Jose isn't that far from San Francisco, I feel as if I'm in a different country. For me, the downtown shopping sprees and whatever everyone is so fascinated by bores me now. I miss my friends and family in San Jose dearly and I can't wait to come home (I'm not sure when that is...)! I'm going to do some reading now.. I'm determined to finish half of The Scarlet Letter by this evening.

Motivation
For the past few days, I've been trying so hard not to distract myself from completing my 3AP assignments.. But obviously, that didn't work. There's a couple more weeks left until school starts and I'm in deep shit. I'm not even supposed to be writing this right now. I have my Word Document open, and all I have typed is my name and "English 3AP". The blinking line is haunting me, screaming "TYPE ALREADY!" This is quite lame... So, I'm going to make a motivation plan.
1 Chapter read (of each book) daily - Go out for rainbow sherbet ice cream!
2 Chapters read + Doing some reading notes daily - Hang out with friends
3+ Chapters read + Doing reading notes daily- Shopping! + watching 500 Days of Summer with friends
Finishing BOTH assignments before school starts - I'm not sure what I'll reward myself with, but I'm leaning towards dying my hair a chocolatey brown. Who knows.
If this doesn't work out, I don't know what will...

My life on the D-List
A few things...
1) I love Comcast commercials.
2) I can never grow tired of eating fruit.
3) When I grow up, I want to live in either Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen or the East Coast of the USA.
4) I can never stick to a plan. Ever.
5) Honestly, I get very annoyed when people misspell my first name as Vicky. It's tough enough that no one can spell my last name.
6) I used to be pale. 13 years ago.

Berry stains
Look, the eyebrow dog!
In other news, I may be the worst blogger yet. Usually, I'd post every 1-2 days, but now it's more like once every week. Nothing extraordinary happened since my last post, besides learning how to drive. My mom drove me to an abandoned parking lot and skeptically allowed me to take the wheel. It took me an hour to learn how to drive straight, yet I still can't do it. I question myself sometimes whether I can do anything right. -_- This will be my last week in San Francisco (because I'm doing driver's training here) and I'm sad, but I miss my friends and my family a lot. There's a month left of summer, and still, a lot needs to be done. I should stop avoiding reading my 3AP books.
Well, I'm going to go now. My cousin's showing me a YouTube clip on a "tree man".

Quel dommage!
Forgive me for neglecting my blog for almost (or maybe) a week already. I've lost track of the days either from having too much fun or from being too bored. My week consisted of playing tennis badly, swimming, eating sushi, avoiding reading The Scarlet Letter and The Tipping Point, and many other things I can't remember.
I'll be returning to sweet ol' San Jose tomorrow to keep my sick mom company (sorry Alan, Miguel and Olivia for being unable to go to SF) and take care of other matters as well. I'm quite nervous about the permit test I'll be taking on Weds. because I suck at remembering traffic signs. Oh well.

Truth or dare?
I hung out with Dan and Kimmy again. We watched Benjamin Button be a "bear" before heading off to Yogurt Twist (my first time). After shopping for picnic foods, we headed to the football field (?!) where the fireworks were to take place. There, I saw many of my friends which made the day even better. We played truth or dare while eating our portion of McDonald's Nuggets. The most funniest thing that happened was Sara walking up to a random boy and taking his hat off... His whole kiddie clique proceeded to stare us down and threaten to squirt us with cold water. Jane also ran up to random adults and took pictures of them wearing her sunglasseThen there came the "bear", a creepy man who kept posing behind our pictures. Ew...The fireworks were alright, my photos are a bit "eh" but what can you expect with my shaky hands? The ceremonies concluded with a spaz of fireworks which made me go apesh*t... Walking out of the damn place made me go insane as well. Stupid people pushing. Too bad Jane couldn't eat cake with us at Dan and Kimmy's. Hopefully we'll hang out again!
To dust
Staying in San Jose for the weekend really helped me relax and have fun for the first time this summer...
Today, I had to go to my mom's friend's party up in the hills and I thought I'd be bored to bits. Instead, I enjoyed my time there with Dan and Kimmy, along with the rest of the gang. We strayed far away from "bears", hunted jackrabbits, ate expired snow cones and snuck out of the house to go lay on the lush golf course and take pictures. To top off my day, we walked about a mile to a country club where they had an awesome Fourth of July celebration. There were hundreds of people in red, white and blue attire sitting on their lawn chairs and waiting for the show to begin. Dan, Kimmy and I laid on a beach towel while taking crappy pictures with my camera (which conveniently ran out of batteries after the beginning of the fireworks show) and cellphone, while texting Leyna. I was scared to death by the fireworks because I keep thinking I'll be hit... Obviously not.
I hope everyone has a happy fourth of July celebration tomorrow! I'll probably be going to Dan and Kimmy's for some fireworks fun, and hopefully Jane will be there too!

ORANGE YOU GLAD...
Not to sound like a pessimist, but my summer is hardly worth elaborating about. No surprise, I've been babysitting my cousin for the past few days and I'm quite tired of running around like a maniac. But hey, at least I'm burning calories! Pretty soon (meaning a day), my cousin will be leaving for Pennsylvania and there shall be some adventures in store. Just text me if you want to hang out!
But for now, I'll resort to eating orange sherbet with my cousins while watching endless marathons of Ghost Hunters on the SciFi channel (which will soon be renamed the SyFy channel).
